Yendi Phillipps – Miss Jamaica Universe 2010
Yendi Phillipps (born September 8, 1985) is the winner of the Miss Jamaica World 2007 beauty pageant. She is of black and partial Indo-Jamaican descent. She credits her mother, who died when she was younger for her Confidence and Drive and dedicated her win to her. She represented Jamaica at the Miss World 2007 contest held in Sanya, China on December 1.
She became the first contestant in history to make it to the finals of all the fast track events at Miss World 2007. She was 1st runner-up in Miss World Beach Beauty and a finalist in the Miss World Sports, Miss World Talent, Miss World Top Model and the Beauty With A Purpose Award. During the telecast, she made the final top 16.
She was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2010 on July 3, 2010 and will represent Jamaica at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant in Las Vegas.
