Meriam George – Miss World Egypt 2008

Meriam George (born in 1987 in Cairo, Egypt) was the official Pantene Miss Egypt 2005 titleholder, at age 18. She represented Egypt in Miss Universe 2005, Miss Intercontinental 2005 and Miss Earth 2006. In Miss Earth, she was among the eight finalists, in Miss Intercontinental, she was a semifinalist, and in Miss Universe, she didn’t place at all. She will also compete in Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa, on December 13, 2008.

Born to a Coptic Orthodox family, Meriam studies business administration at the Modern Academy in Cairo. She also works part-time as a model. She aspires to become either a business woman or a TV presenter. Her other interests include astrology, singing, and playing the piano and the flute.
