Rachel Kum was crowned Miss Singapore Universe 2009 at Shangri-La Hotel’s Island Ballroom on May 9, 2009. The former New Face finalist won $5,000 in cash, a trophy and products and services from the sponsors.
She will represent Singapore at Miss Universe 2009, which will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas on Aug 23.
Controversies
She was recently accused by certain sources of allegedly skipping the preliminary audition rounds and compulsory activities.
