AN Edinburgh woman has beaten 500 other hopefuls to be named as one of the finalists in the Miss Universe GB final.
Stacey Munro, aged 26, beat competition from around Great Britain to be named as one of 40 finalists.
The final will take place at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham on Sunday, May 3 in aid of the Joshua Foundation and the winner will go on to the Miss Universe final this summer, which is owned and run by American tycoon Donald Trump.
She now has four months to prepare for the final, secure sponsorship and raise money for charity.
The Joshua Foundation is a charity which helps terminally ill children enjoy new experiences.
Director of Vibe Models, which organises the event, Paula Abbandonato said: “This year we hope to raise at least £50,000 for The Joshua Foundation.”
